Never knew my heart could take so much pain
but your bitter words wrap my soul in chains

My courage no longer keeps me from hurt
in your stare alone you question my worth
I often wonder where your love went
and how all your care and devotion was spent

Why is it now you've taken your hold
to beat the life out of me and my soul?
Your anger and hate has made me broken
yet all of these words will never be spoken.
