Doubt that we are living on this earth,
Doubt the stars that shine since birth,
Doubt that the sun gives light each day,
Doubt that the moon knows love's own way.

Doubt that the sea holds life in tide,
Doubt that the winds and clouds can guide,
Doubt even time, as it slips through air —
But never doubt the love I bear.

For deeper than oceans, higher than skies,
Stronger than truth, and older than lies,
Is this quiet flame that I carry for you —
Forever constant, forever true.

The world may change, and stars may fall,
Even silence may answer love's last call.
But know, my dearest, through all despair —
My heart is yours, beyond compare.

So if the end of time draws near,
Let my last breath whisper clear:
