Necessary Moments Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Caressing moments of life, remembering love given and received
by those we've loved and been loved by throughout our lives.

Truths abounding in many experiences with others, giving us
necessary lessons of love, caring and compassion.

All of it staying with us even after our deaths on earth, be-
cause all are necessary moments we must adhere to in life.

Wanting to enter heaven one day, holding onto the goodness
and positive attitudes, enabling us to do good on earth.

Feelings of joy and happiness being far fewer for most than
grief, sadness, sorrow, loneliness and abandonment.

Many people not able to hold onto these few moments of joy
and happiness, letting the negative stand in the way of
living fully, their purposes in life.
