How beautifully you have explained the 'mahatmya' or the grandeur of Devi Skandmata and her son the great Kartikeya. I am sure most of the readers are not familiar with these stories. The worship of Skandamata on the fifth day of Navaratri Festival is an essential part of an ancient tradition. Thanks, Geeta ji.
