Navaratri Devi 4- Kushmanda Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Navaratri Devi 4- Kushmanda

Rating: 5.0

Kushmanda is the dynamic Goddess,
The Creator of this vast universe,
The warm cosmic egg,
The eternal seed of creation.

When the world was inactive,
Enveloped in darkness,
The Goddess emerged
As the light of creation,
Filling the void and emptiness,
With her vibrant energy and power.
She was like the brilliant sun
Spreading her bright rays in every direction.

O Devi Kushmanda!
Seated majestically on a lion,
Holding weapons and rosary in your hands,
Fill my mind too, with bright light,
That I may spend my life singing Your glory.
Ever grateful for Your divine armour around me.
