Navaratri Devi 2 - Brahmacharini Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Navaratri Devi 2 - Brahmacharini

Rating: 5.0

Brahmacharini is
Devi who practices austerity,
Penance of intense nature,
That endows her with great power.

She is Durga of tremendous energy.
She is aware of her power and strength.
She is blissful and
Showers her devotees with joy and happiness.
She is prosperous and bestows
Her devotees with wealth and prosperity.
She is peaceful and blesses
Her devotees with peace and tranquility.
She is powerful and fills
Her devotees with extra-ordinary courage and strength.

An Extract from my book ‘Devi Mahatmyam - Mystic power of the radiant Goddess"
In India, special prayers are offered during the annual festival of Navaratri in the months of September - October. ‘Navaratri' means nine days.
Out of the nine days of its observance, the first three days are reserved for Goddess Durga, the next three days for Goddess Lakshmi and the last three days for the Goddess Sarasvati.
Devi showers her blessings to those who chant her name with devotion.
