Nature's Palette Ii Poem by Helen Crutchett

Nature's Palette Ii

When each day's brilliant pink and
orange dawn drifts slowly into view,
I paint my mood a happy hue
of sapphire's sea blue jewels.

Ocean dipped with ice cream clouds
melting horizon, making nature applaud
my imagination responds to the beauty of
a palette where harmony reigns true.

I mix my emotion-filled symphony
with mellow, turquoise tunes
mountains and snow-capped peaks
blends into valley's pastures green.

I smudge my canvas with rose red,
tangerine and violet oils, perfumed sweet
art is my passion; I feel quite complete,
as heightened senses begin to beat.

Immersed in a sea of creativity,
with charcoal night approaching fast
I complete my art with little stars, the
colours of a rainbow's blush.

From inspiration's steady flow
the world takes on a different glow
Eventide seems alive with my singing heart
I pack my paint and brushes away
to nature's gentle hush…
