Natures Calendar October 2016 Poem by Alison Gaff

Natures Calendar October 2016

Although its late October now
And we've had more cold wet days
There's also been bright sunshine
So we've been lucky in many ways

We haven't had a frost yet
So some flowers do still bloom
In reds and pinks and purples
They still brighten up the gloom

The trees put on their showy best
Fruits of amber, russet and gold
And now the leaves are turning
It's a spectacular sight to be-hold

As Halloween marks this months end
Hollowed out pumpkins on every step
At least it was dry for the ghouls and ghosts
Hoping lots of sweets they'll get
