I've seen day
ride on a supersonic jet
night, roll by
and minutes, like tide against ship
have come against man
Beaten him in the face
ridden him of his looks
stolen from him his youthful smile
and paint his head ash
let man tremble for it has come
Let prince charming
die with his charms
and the beauty queen
to the grave with her beauty
for that is the only gift
mother-earth be kind enough
to accept
