Nartaki 4 - Nartaki Embraces Her Dance Alone Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Nartaki 4 - Nartaki Embraces Her Dance Alone

Rating: 5.0

Yearning for divine love,
Striving towards a goal,
A goal of perfection,
A feeling of fulfilment,
A sense of tranquility,
And of heavenly bliss!

‘Nartaki' envelops herself with ‘Rasas' and ‘Mudras',
‘Nartaki' shields herself from the outer world,
Through her synchronized movements and postures,
Through her dance, dance and dance alone!

As far as I have understood, the poem tells us in simple terms the goal to be achieved by a Nartaki or Danseuse practicing an Indian Classical Dance Form. All her mudras, expressions and movements complement her endeavor to attain utmost satisfaction, sense of fulfillment & perfection, inner tranquility, divine love and heavenly bliss in this life itself. This series is a masterpiece for which you deserve a big 'Thank You' from the world of art. Thank you so much, Geeta ji.

Yes, Rajnish ji, You have understood it right and proper. The goal is always ' Satvikam'. A classical dancer always strives towards this divine goal. Thanks a lot Rajnish ji. Stay blessed always.

The meditation for achieving divine bliss performed by a nartaki through her dance, making it the vehicle, has been unfolded adroitly in this short and beautifully crafted verse. Thanks for sharing. It definitely deserves full marks.
