Your poem is a good version of Narcissus tale. I thought of Mr. Galanis as well, as I was reading your poem.
I was given a book of Greek myths when I was six. It was translated by Nathaniel Hawthorne, a distinguished American writer. I have never lost my love of Greek culture since. Dimitrios is a very fine poet like you. Tom Billsborough
