This girl will never belong to the city
Yet she holds the whole blue and green world in her hands
She often thinks about her narcissistic father in the morning
As she makes her delicious caffetterie coffee
And she knows in spite of her narcissist father
She is as addictive as the sweetest toffee
She isn't narcissistic herself:
In spite of her father she has enormous wealth
He - sometimes - haunts her nighttime dreams
With his mixed-up behaviour and vicious words
With his aggressive behaviour that does confuse emotions
His own parents lacking affection: lacking devotion
Emotionally damaged yet happy
Sometimes crying at night yet happy
Feeling the victim at times in social situations yet happy
The nighttime oftentimes lonely yet happy
Mornings busy and stressful yet happy
Nights out with friends a relief, making her happy
Always truthful: in spite of her narcissistic father
Yet never rude or physically abusive or yelling abuse:
Not carrying her father's nasty traits
Her own children much farther away from narcissism
For she is always a kind and loving woman
That spreads the word of never-ending love
Wondering why her father narcissistic
Wondering why her mother was fooled by him
Wondering what her grandparents did what they did
Wondering why her father's upbringing affected him so
Wondering if love and emotions make her father slow
Wondering if her father did know what she knows
Determined to live a good life
Determined to live a peaceful life
Determined to live an honest life
Determined to live a happy life
Determined to live a busy and active life
Determined to live a narcissist-free life
Walking the planet with her emotional scars
Yet a woman free of guilt
Knowing her children forever free
Their confidence not out of malice
Their confidence not some kind of trick
Their personalities not shallow or fake
Every morning she makes her caffetterie coffee
Every morning she eats her porridge
Drizzled with either honey or strawberry jam
Putting on her useful personal computer
And listening to the Sade "Stronger Than Pride" album on CD
Inner strength she does harness and see
Knowing having love is stronger than pride
Knowing when it comes to narcissism
She has nothing to be ashamed of or to hide
When it comes to hating her father it impossible
No matter hard she tried and tried
Her love for people stronger than pride
Her father a product of an abusive household
Her father a product of over achievement
His insecure emotional needs ignored
Yet his achievements praised, which was wonderful
But - unfortunately - he is emotionally dim
Yet when he learns, he will learn from him:
God above, knowing even narcissists victims
Their complex psychology studied and learnt
Their outrageous confidence a trick
Their loud words all a façade
Their children - however - not always the same
Their children not always fake loud, craving fame
The narcissist's daughter telling her tale
Her mother fooled by narcissist traits of her father
Yet the daughter is emotionally secure
Never stupid or Nice But Dim Tim
For she is better than the real thing: a brave heroine
And she will always be beautiful and slim.
