From what I have read about Napoleon he and Josephine had a true love. She was probably full of that loving spirit, Naploen, however, plunged Europe and the New World into two decades of war and other conflicts. He had very little loving spirit in him otherwise, so your poem celebrates him at his moral best when J.s love made him human and loving.
