Naomi Poem by Adams King

Naomi

Tonight let your pictures invade my head
Let my thoughts be all about you
Let the tears of my loneliness be shed
Let me dream sweet dreams of you

Let my heart beat for you alone
Let every best remind me of you
Let me wish for you while it's cold
And pray to see you when the sky turns blue

I have wished for your romantic touch
I have prayed to kiss you in the dead of night
When the moon shines like an old man's torch
And the stars spread its twinkling light

I wonder what a night will be with you
With your flesh placed upon mine
Even heaven won't be compared to
Nor any poetic romantic lines

If you're the moon I won't pray for dawn
So I will stare at you for a long long time
I will wish mother earth has no sun
I will compose a lullaby of lovely rhymes

I will love you Naomi till the sunset of time
I reveal my love and have nothing to hide
I will give you my all even if it cost my life
The best death I can die is to die by your side

Tonight Naomi I wish you are in my bed
For the urge for you purges my soul
I will pluck for you beautiful roses of red
I will give you my best and all that I own

Tonight Naomi invade my thoughts
Let me keep longing for a night with you
What else will I say to tell your worth
Nor prove to you you're the most beautiful
