Hi, Tony! I haven’t read much of Aquinas and it’s been a while. The impression that remains of him is a respect for his level—I would say empirical—gaze at the boundaries and contents of our knowing. And, indeed, there is no conflict with the trust relationship that is faith. In fact, this trust which makes us fearless helps us look on things clearly. -Glen
