Once I dreamt a most wondrous dream
As naïve young boy, sweet in his innocence
Glimpsed beyond distant mountain range
Saw the promised land of milk and honey
Where freedom and goodness reign
Love each soul's strength and purpose.
Once I dreamed a most wondrous dream
As questing youth finding his way in life
Coming to understand God's magnificence
His eternal love for the children of Adam,
Discovering Jesus Christ is shield against evil.
Followed his teachings recorded in the bible
Embracing the light denying the darkness
Faith my journey's guide leading to Heaven's gate.
