It's very nice that you and P are so 'tolerant' of your peculiarities: hating chocolate and fearing 'bugs'! ! ! I LOVE eating chocolate-coated bugs.
Early on, I worked at hospital jobs twice: nurse's aide (as a conscientious objector [to war] for 2 years, '70-'72) , and later for a short time as an operating room technician.
About 3-4 of your defined slang/terms I've heard of. Old music? Yes, I like classical (as in Brahms) but also like Beatles, but I'm no music 'music-nerd' (ha ha) i.e. one who listens (unless someone else is listening and I can hear as they listen) to music on a CD player or radio, etc.
I love to read all of your college stories. They make me feel like I am young again and part of the crowd. Reminds me so much of my own college days.
