A slap on the self centered narrow mentality which is a reward from materialistic consumerism. Heartiest congratulations on it's poem of the Day.

Nicely articulated poem. It reflects the narrowness of people in the society. They are concerned more about their own interest than about others. Thanks. I will screen any person..... Including myself / For i could be a threat To the Flora and Fauna in my compound

I think the poetess is slapping on the face of those who strive to be great by building walls around and separating themselves from others. Well penned poem of immense profundity. Thanks for sharing and congrats for being the member's PoD.

Though I suppose this is a satire of the world's most notorious biznizman become political hack I think it could be bigger, better, greater and, really, just trust me, everyone will love it. On the other hand I can't help but be reminded of the religious hack who hid away in his personal compound in Pakistan that was very much as this poem describes. And we all know what happened to him.

Very well stated commentary on the absurdity of building walls, especially walls which destroy our humanity.

Yes indeed. The greatness of my wall will be blazoned to heaven and earth by large blinking LED displays, to be seen by neighbors who dwell in the Great Dark. The creek that flows under my wall will be a trickle of sludge. The greatness of my home will be made obvious by the prodigious gambling of my sons and the obesity of my women. My servants will be dressed in smart uniforms. All this will merely begin the process of making my home great again.
