Dear Herbie, Dunny is one of my very favourite Australian words and this poem is a fine tribute to same. I recall my mother's story about the family 'outside dunny' when she was a child. Apparently her brother tickled the naked bottom of Annie, their unfortunate governess, with a chook feather and terrified the wits out of her. She resigned her post shortly afterwards. The story always made me laugh, as does this clever poem. love, Allie xxxx
