My Trusty Old Alarm Clock Poem by Shaun Cronick

My Trusty Old Alarm Clock

Rating: 5.0

After my day's work is done,
And I come home at night.
I write a poem freshly spun,
And in myself I'm alright.

Through the window I can see,
Good people of seasoned stock.
Then a tick I hear for company,
My trusty old alarm clock.

You tick and tick in calming way,
Trustily tell me when to rise.
Try and stop for just one day,
You don't need to exercise.

A trusted timer I must agree,
Reliable like life's bedrock.
I love each tick you give me,
My trusty old alarm clock.

What a lovely poem. A tribute to a trusty old alarm clock. This poem resonates with me. I am a lover of clocks. Their sound sometimes make you feel you have company. Beautifully crafted and well executed with great rhyme.
