For review purposes, I will accept that what you wrote is a poem, Jessica, though there does not appear to be any form to it other than possibly free style. It is written in slang, without any punctuation and in capital letters as well. There is certainly a lot of emotion in this write and it does tell a story of sorts. Now, there is nothing wrong with being a little different in poetry style or make up, since rules for poetry (unless you write in a specific form) are pretty liberal. I do not know how much poetry you have read, but it wouldn't hurt to familarize yourself with some of the famous poets that can be found on this site, like Pablo Nureda, Maya Angelou, Emily Dickinson, or Emily Jane Bronte. I think that will help you learn more about the wonders of poetry. Carl.
