Come, stand by me, my true love
Let me be your daily strength, support
Safe, quiet harbour, from stormy seas
Love that warms and cradles your heart.
When your steps falter and all seems grey
And you feel too weary to take another step
I will be there to comfort, never leaving you.
My life fulfilled, overflowing, complete
Knowing, loving you, my soulmate.
You give such joy, happiness, dedication
Giving each day sweetest purpose, seeing you.
I thank your parents for your birth
Creating the wonder of you, my beloved
Lover, heartbeat of my life's rich rhythm.
