My Tranquil Picnic Place Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

My Tranquil Picnic Place

Rating: 4.0

A picnic I thought to share with you
Sandwiches lovingly made and a packet of crisps too
I sit down to tell you my woes, my troubles
Shed a tear or two these emotional bubbles
As I sit here basking, caressed in sunlight
We reminisce of beautiful memories shining bright
I talk and talk and talk some more to my forever listening ear
Maybe next time I'll be naughty and bring a beer
Enveloped in the wildlife the magnificence around us
Butterfly's dancing effortlessly and without a fuss
Picnics clock tick tock soon it will end
Thoughts of when I'll be here again, dates in the mind pend
As I get up to say my adieu with a loving kiss on your headstone, you were/are the best
I've found my tranquil picnic place where two beautiful people now lay to rest.
