My Suggestion
If you wish to make life comfortable
Then listen; ignore some and tolerate some
Those who live with suspension in life
Often seen they go astray every step in life
Problems are not the creation of circumstances
It is the creation of your thought and actions
Remember; your thoughts make you what you are
Also remember; ups and downs are inseparable in life
Always live in today; neither in the past nor in future
Today is the reality and future is hidden in today in life.
The past is dead yesterday like gone time never to return.

...contd....Without looking future you can live present. Without learning from past present is never formed. Without goal you can't plan today.
I completely agree with your opening notion is wise and acceptable. I too agree our thought makes us. We should live in present looking future as reflection of present and mirror of past. So, true notion, leave nothing.
