My Sister's Mind Poem by Isadora Quagmire

My Sister's Mind

My dear older sister's mind,
is truly one-of-a-kind,
It computes with speed,
for pencil and paper she has no need.

She solves equations in a single blink,
Before an average person can even think.
No calculator's hum, no screen's bright glow,
Just pure intellect, puts on a show.

From calculus vast to algebra's maze,
She navigates through complex numeric daze.
Integrals, derivatives, Pi to a thousand place,
Solved in mere moments, with effortless grace.

The toughest theorems, she doesn't dread,
Just add the numbers inside her head.
Polynomials, matrices, prime factorization too,
She's got the answer, before you're halfway through.

While I still might grapple with simple sums,
And count on my fingers till weariness comes.
She's factoring polynomials with elegant grace,
I'm just trying to remember what number takes place!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem while studying for a big math test to amuse myself with my lack of mathematical skill - my older sister is very skilled with mathematics (the poem hardly exaggerates) ! I hope this poem can put a smile of amusement on your face dear reader :)
