line 7: " lay" or " lays" or " laid" ? [ i think lays ] i'm not sure. dumb verb tenses! ! ! ! It's (for me) certainly a surprise (& stirring) ending. [NOT like stirring cake mix! ] I guess " Watch" does not refer to a timepiece on sis's wrist (as i thought it would) . To MyPoemList bri and..nice leaf :) :) p.s. " Jazib" seems to always want THAT poem read. (see J's comment) .
