My Silent Pain Poem by Skylark Woodrow

My Silent Pain

Rating: 5.0

I hurt,
I break,
I am silent;
For this is my pain.
I take a deep breath,
I set my face,
And walk through the day.
I hide my bruises and cover my scars,
But that is nothing compared to my damaged heart.
I have been beaten,
I have been broken,
Until I have become who you see now.
I was not always this way.
I was once like you.
But things change,
And so do people.
So now I carry my silent pain;
A pain of both body and spirit.
