Just added these pictures. Pictured with me is Mr Douglas Wadsworth, Director, VA Regional Office, Salt Lake City, Utah. He served as the director during my entire time with the Veteran's Administration. We were a " Family Operation" during his reign.

If you started there at age 42 and retired at age 62, doesn't that make 20 years instead of 18? What am I missing? Am I just not awake yet? My favorite line: My daily dread (as opposed to my daily bread) .
Kim, I started in late June or early July, just a couple weeks away from my 43rd birthday. Then I retired a month short of my 62nd birthday.. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday for CHESS..
Part serious, part humorous-'hundreds of 5 drawer cabinets', '18 years in the file bank'. Quite a bureaucracy, but one which served combat veterans very well and most necessary.
