It's a nice write, drawing the picture of our life as a candle light with so many discomforts... but still trying to keep it alight...... nice penning. You can read my poem Mortal life & give your feelings

very good concept...breeze / lamp... but the beginning of the poem should have been better as you are a better poet..and after the 9th line, i think, the thought disconnected.. however, your poetry rocks..i love them...

Let no hope extinguished in hearts Put thousand candles In Burning At the niche of love As lit for hope in hearts Your scattered thoughts are Scattered light in dark As dawn For hope

I am sure you are not a dying lamp Shahzia - we all feel like this from time to time, indeed I have felt 'extinguished' for some time now. But flames have a habit of rekindling, so keep it going.

The lamp glowing within no wind can ever touch hands stronger than winds shielding it for eternity... Keep glowing!

may be, for I keep covering the candle of hope shading it by my own both hands to keep it lit, burning and lighting, .....That should be the spirit Shazia. Hope sustains us. Our actions are always reactions to the actions of others. A poet at lease brings out the feeling of getting let down or getting ecstatic, , think of whose who suppress their feelings and the resultant sufferings. But when it starts getting dimmer and dimmer you pour some more oil to keep it alive and lighted.......it is the same hope which keep pouring the oil. So one has to believe in oneself. Coming to the poem, this one is the best one of all the scattered thoughts I have read till date.. The flow, the tone, the feelings expressed is quire mesmerizing.

Welcome back Shahzia! Each drops of oil poured into your lamp from each of us is Nothing but our love for you. Let not your thoughts be scattered again, Combine all thoughts into one, One light... Let that one light grow into a blazing flame. God Bless You!

What I am happy about is that Shahziaji, you are back here and we the rest of the 'slowly burning candles' welcome you back to the family of PH. As for the theme of the poem, I cannot comment much on your veiled pessimism and whenever there is a pyre readied by someone you alone need not lie on it and the need of the hour is a stronger Shahzia realising the potential of her mind that can swim across the mortal life with nothing to succeed in fact. The milieu of humanity has an edge over the rest and it has to tide over things apparently traumatizing now and then. Shahzia back is big news and with our little containers of that magical oil ready to bend over you you have to burn ahead dear lamp... All the best Shahzia the Lamp! Forgotten... here is a 10 for you.

the poem starts with a 'flicker' and concludes with a 'flame'...no wind flow can extinguish the flow of the creative flame, , that lights eternally in your live-wire creativity, , , , the poem is so symbolical, , , there are some beautiful twist and turns in the poem, , fire, , turned into pyre, , raw finger..the image of candle, , are images which linger in my mind much after i read the poem, , , thanx

This mortal life does not recycle here seasons come but ONCE... Truth of life embedded in the lines. Nice to see your scattered thoughts coming back. I saw some comments from other poets and did not know what was happening. I searched here and searched there. Let my friend be strong to face whatever it may be. With best wishes. Tirupathi.

Delighted to see your new post as if a withered flower got its freshness. it is natural if you are going to enlighten the candle of hope and give shade to the flame your finger may get burnt. it is natural all judgement are not without any error becoz Mighty Judge is sitting above all. Man made judgment shall ever bear some error. I like to quote a line of my poem ' Fire without smoke action without defects are unexpected'. keep the candle ever glowing to spread thy light of wisdom, generosity, intellect, consciousness, love, peace, fraternity, and all good manner and to dispel the darkness. I pray the Mighty to bestow you more wisdom and strength to go ahead so that fragrance of your creation may remain till the entire creation exist. if you are not facing any problem during your action, it means some defects and impurity remains. A very grand write and soulful always. keep it up.
