Rating: 4.0

I run into the wild noise of the world around
when get troubled by the pangs of this stormy silence...
suffering from the deafening of ears
to the melodies of the spheres around,

We all make a difference some small, some large. A wave or a ripple, goes on forever until it hits the shore. Why is soaring high so difficult especially when heels are deeply dug into the fine dust of broken dreams? Strong lines eloquently stated.

You are here, Shahzia, being you; that makes a great deal of difference. Enjoyed and appreciated this soulful plea.

We have troubles until we have dreams and wants. There was time in my life my wish came true, but when it came true, it was not interesting anymore. When we get to the point that we welcome Everything what comes to us, have no want anymore, being grateful for everything, let it be good or bad, then comes true happiness. I know it is not easy to navigate through people who are all different and they are telling or showing you something, but just think about these. Wishing you the best which you will get after many lessons. Never give up, keep up to the last, and you never know which is the last.

Beautiful self introspection! ! The warring selves struggling for a unified entity, suffering from a desire not to suffer! What strange paradox is life! ! Great Thoughts! !

Self pity helps no one, if I do this I always am punished by jamming my finger, smashing a plate or losing something, So I try to steer clear of this. Everybody can make a difference!

'.heels are deeply dug into the fine dust of broken dreams? ' beginning is like Eliot's 'The Wasteland but gradually theme shifts toward faith and hope though it's flickering; 'Mild pain is the vital sign of life'...(so you could write such inspiring lines) and it reminded me of a fable by Khalil Gibran: Said one oyster to a neighbouring oyster, “I have a very great pain within me. It is heavy and round and I am in distress.” And the other oyster replied with haughty complacence, “Praise be to the heavens and to the sea, I have no pain within me. I am well and whole both within and without.” At that moment a crab was passing by and heard the two oysters, and he said to the one who was well and whole both within and without, “Yes, you are well and whole; but the pain that your neighbour bears is a pearl of exceeding beauty.”

The will is forever etching its deepened connection within soul. This write is highly reflective into such a deep pool of thought and surrender. Love it very much!

do i make any difference? Some very deep-seated thoughts, summed up by a big question that we all should dare to ask ourselves.

Since your first episode of scattered thoughts...... You don't make any difference All gloomy air and dooms fortune blessed our heart and in these rhymes we see melting blossom and fading colors of rainbow...

In all the poems of’ scattered thought series’, the protagonist is portrayed as a victim of circumstances and shown as succumbing to various pressures. This poem is no exception. It is a well written poem where the poet is judge and victim both bringing out the paradox in one’s nature. Few lines which brings out the whole substance of the poem makes me wonder as to how can the protagonist surrender meekly and not fight against the odds to made a difference. “I pity myself though I've always been holding a placard against self-pity...” The poet is judging herself and correctly so as one is human and is bound to contradict one’s own actions due to the prevailing circumstances. “Mild pain is the vital sign of life! can any of my multiple selves tell me what do i want? “ The poet admits that sufferings/pain are part and parcel of life(just like happiness is) . These two aspects do govern the human nature. In happiness one does not seek any guidance but during pain one normally looks upto a guide, a teacher, a mentor. I do believe that no guide is better than oneself. No teacher can mitigate one’s pain or fear unless and until one looks within and seek answers. One has to dig out the reasons within and draw out the fear and pain which automatically recedes like the water after the flood. It is upto the individual’s nature how one can overcome pain & fear and for that one has to be mentally strong not to get swayed away by other’s perceptions. Then definitely one can make the difference.” Shazia is definitely one poet amongst a few which I like to read as she predominantly brings forth human nature and its diversities. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -x- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - x- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
