My Saving Grace Poem by ezzabell fanning

My Saving Grace

my time has come
the light swims in
a door to bliss
opened, ajar.

walls around me
above me, below me
left, right
closing in, suffocating me.

air so compressed
denying my right
slow breaths
denying me.

every passing moment
i grow tired
my lungs scream
my pulse, slowing.

a bright light, up above
i smile but fail
so tired
dont bother.

a hand reaches down,
warm and soft
lifts me up
to bliss.

so long in the darkness
the sun blinds me
i cant see you, but your there
my saving grace.
