My Petal Of Spring Poem by Sunny Sunshine

My Petal Of Spring

She moved like light through shuttered day,
A golden hush that slipped my way,
Not touch, not flame, but sacred smoke...
A vow I breathed, but never spoke.

She was a spark I wouldn't strike,
Too wild for chains, too sharp to like
The easy kind of love we fake...
She was the storm the calm can't break.

Her laugh? A shot of chilled delight,
That spun my world from dark to white.
A vodka sting on lips of fire,
That left me wrecked in soft desire.

She danced in chaos, fierce and free,
A mirrored ache that looked like me.
My twin, but born in brighter skin,
A war I'd lose and call a win.

She wasn't living...she was 'life',
A moment carved from joy and strife.
A bloom too bright to ever hold,
A story written, brave and bold.

So promise me...as spring the snow,
As rivers promise they will flow...
That when I break, and wilt, and fade,
You'll bloom again, though skies have grayed.

When frost has found my hollow chest,
When silence lingers where I rest,
Come plant your sun inside my soul,
And warm the cracks that time made whole.

Let flowers grow where cold had reigned,
Let joy return where tears remained.
And day by day, with silent grace,
Rebuild the ruins, light the place.

Rebirth me not with sudden fire,
But with your breath, your soft desire.
The bloom you are, the spring you bring...
My white lit hope, my Petal's Spring.

So promise me, and let it be...
That when I'm lost, you'll come for me.
The way the dawn returns to night...
You'll be my bloom, my sun, my light.
