Certain things and scenes suddenly arouse memories of our dear ones in us! When you see the brown and russet leaves spread on the ground during Fall, you are reminded of your mother and the quilt she used. In fact Mother Nature is making a quilt of leaves of multi shades on the ground in the season of Autumn! A very imaginative write. Top marks.

Ileft you a comment on this fine work the other day, however, for whatever reason, it vanished! I believe in my initial comment I said that to compose a succinct poetic work is not an easy feat as so much must be conveyed in so few words, and still have the Reader feel it & embrace it... A good poem is one that comes to the Reader to appreciate. A great poem is one that permeates within the Reader. and beckons another read..You nailed the latter, Rose Marie. ~FjR-'18~

What a wonderful comment, Frank. I feel humbled and honored. I was so surprised when your great comment was missing. I thought I accidentally touched something that made it vanished into thin air. Nevertheless, I was fortunate that you came back with a fantastic comment. I will always treasure your kind gesture and your comment is a gem to my pen. God Bless.
