My Lovely Star Poem by Minerva Agriam

My Lovely Star

You start my day foggy or bright,
Waking up my soul from dreary fright.

My lovely star you shine up above,
Belittling my self wounded with recklessness.

In storm and in peace always you're there,
A Heavenly throne you are enthroned.

Sinking or smiling; sweet or pensive,
You have always looked upon my nakedness.

Clad in bright array you give light to everything;
Bringing to light all that are hidden.

What had you seen my lovely star,
The sleeping nature clad with a cold heart?

Do you come to seek with sweet gaze,
A purity that belongs only to Thee?

Oh, my beloved lovely star,
Forsake not this lonely Love.
