' My Lord' Poem by David Cleveland

' My Lord'

I'm sorry I drifted away from you.
Lost, I didn't know what to do.
They said you left me alone, Father, did you?

I wake each morning, I bow, and I pray.
Knowing your grace will be with me all day.
You give me the strength to sing 'Hallelujah.'

You came to this earth to die for me.
To open my eyes, so that I could see.
By following you, I could be set free.

Three days later, you rose from the grave.
To show the world that we could be saved.
I love you so much, I just want to sing 'Hallelujah.'
