My Life Poem by Okello Baloyi

My Life

There I was, standing beside the street fearing for my life, without nothing to live for nor to exchange for my life.

Right before gun point, I saw myself fading away and once I was pointed, I imagined myself behind the gun, holding it against an innocent man.

Without shedding tears, suddenly I realize how cruelty of a stranger could lead to my early death
