'Never had a happy moment' - this cannot be true in anybody's case. Let us not blame our life or the world for this and that. Life is a question of variety with ups and downs. It is how you absorb life which determines the quality of your life. Sorrow and happiness - both are transitory and so, why do we bother about it? No happiness has ever remained with the same intensity throughout its course nor the element of sorrow. Sorrow can be a state of less happiness. That is all. Everything lies in our interpretation and not in the material situation. Ramana Maharshi had cancer but to him, it was not at all a painful affair. It is how we take on a situation that actually defines our sorrow and happiness. Otherwise, the material situation has practically no part to play in our sorrow and happiness. If everything remained in the material situation, then, everybody falling within that circle would be equally affected either with sorrowfulness or happiness. Does this happen? I may be crying but Naranathu Branthan may be laughing! This is the situation.
