The first line of the poem is a confession I HABITUATE IN ROMANTIC FOLLY and the rest of the poem shows the consequence of the latest such surrender. There's a list toward the end of what has been lost LOSING MYSELF, MY STABLE HOME, ALL MY BELONGINGS. What has she gained? Twice she repeats the title MY HEART IS YOUNG, which is a psychological condition, a state of mind. How long will it last? Perhaps until she realizes she doesn't any lasting relationship with the man? I don't see any compensation here - only loss upon loss.
