My Heart Screams For You Poem by RACHEL ZARANTONELLO

My Heart Screams For You

Having it my way is how
it should always be
When you see Burger King
I hope you always think of me.
Will I always miss you?
Will my heart ever let you go?
I will always want you
this I already know
I ask myself- Was it worth it?
Would I do it over again?
You ripped out my heart
Don't try to be my friend
Day after day I wish for you
and wonder if you were even real
Always glad to see you when
some of your time, I'm allowed to steal
I'll be in your thoughts
and sometimes in your dreams
Missing your face in my days
for you- my heart still screams.
