My Heart's Mystery Poem by Kerri White

My Heart's Mystery

Rating: 5.0

There's something about you
but to my mind, it is unknown.
That something is my reason
for every light-night thought I've pondered.

It seems as though from now on
I'll always be lacking words to say to you;
My feelings are spoiled when said aloud, yet
I write these lines to show you I still care.

Your silence scares me-
I'm so used to it proving torment from the proceeding.
A smile that you once shed for me
is the simplest sign that keeps me hanging.

My thoughts convert a meaning of your opinion,
and I hope you know my definitions of these lines.
It's a simple thought I'm trying to convey,
though my mind cannot comprehend such fragile things...
