My Heart, Oh My Poem by Munashe Gumbonzvanda

My Heart, Oh My

I was looking for the sun
I got the moon
I thought i was a lion
The monkey is now, a madman

I looked forward to die alone
And life said no.
I found a lover for my heart
I have reached another stage.

My heart,
A lover for my heart.
I now understand those of the heart totem.
The Rozvi tribe, who ruled Gods land.

Grandmother of the heart totem, I see you.
Grandfather you were a monkey totem, I heard you.
The bloodline might not die, I see
Because me, the blind man, I see you
