My Good Friends Poem by Shaun Cronick

My Good Friends

Rating: 5.0

Just got back from Harlech,
Helping two close friend's out.
Who both are pretty well off,
Their wealth they never flout.

They care for their community,
With donations here and there.
Countless many so anonymously,
A secret good friends share.

I won't disclose their names,
They know just who they are.
This wonderful generous couple,
And I thank you for the guitar.

Such a loving husband and wife,
Whose charity knows no ends.
Generous deeds of good for all,
I'm humbled to call my friends.

Mae'r ddau ohonoch yn fwy hael,
a hudolus na Richard Burton a,
Elizabeth Taylor! ! !
Diolch yn fawr ac yn cymrhd gofal.

A wonderful tribute to one of a kind couple. Their kindness will go a long way in helping out the underprivileged. And you, too, Shaun for helping them out in their noble works. A great poem that captures one of the most wonderful attributes of a good human being; kindness. Beautifully written and onto my Poem List.

Your last stanza translated from Welsh by Google Translate: You both are more generous, and enchanting than Richard Burton and, Elizabeth Taylor! ! ! Thank you and take care.

Very heart warming poem Shaun about your good friends. I like the way you end by mentioning the late great Richard Burton and the equally late great Elizabeth Taylor! Please could you translate the ending for me. We English are particularly thick when it comes to understanding languages other than are own. Indeed, some of us, I'm thinking here of the current crop of English footballers, have great difficulties with their own language. Anyway it's a tribute packed ten from me!
