Beautiful glimpse of your childhood, Amitava, so different from my own. Great insight into your golden days of abundance, compared to now, later in life. It seems that nature plays an important part in everyone's childhood, your memories have touched and awakened some of mine. Thank you. RoseAnn

It is nice to be able to remember childhood days when we are in the midst of life's turmoils hoping that our later years will be better. A good poem.

An excellent write about the golden days. We can all go back to childhood days and remember the carefree feelings that we had. Running to and fro in the woods and looking up high trying to see the top of the tall trees. Walking through the woods and feeling the dried leaves crunch under your feet. Feeling the sweet summer breeze as it wafts about your face. Best of all was playing with the other children in games of tag, hide and seek, hopscotch and ring around the roses. Brings back many memories. Lovely.

Most of us past forty or fifty mourn the loss of childhood days. Looking back to those days of fun and frolic is so much fun. In me too there was a child going after squirrels, birds and butterflies. Ignoring the rain and the warning of elders, how we stealthily set sail the paper boats over puddles! Thank you for escorting me to those lovely days! An enjoyable read! !
