My God, I Forgot. Poem by Michael Gale

My God, I Forgot.

I forgot...
A lot.

I forgot how to love...
I forgot how to forgive.

I forgot how to thank...
I forgot to bathe, and i really, really-stank.

I forgot the songs i liked...
I forgot to look inside my drink, it was spiked.

I forgot to pray...
I lost a whole weekday.

I forgot to awaken...
My wall of protection was forsaken.

I now remember to kneel and bow and pray...
I am rich in the belief of God and Jesus, this very day.

I do not forget anything important, to all...
I'll one day get to Heaven and never will i fall.

God is my friend, my friend of all...
I've heard the Jesus call.

I am tall....
I am with love in all.

I forever forgot how to sin...
I, with faith in God and Jesus, will love and win.
