My Friend The Plant
I was not born
With my Mother's 'green thumb'
The apple fell far
From the tree, on that one!
It seemed that the plants
In my care would all die
So after awhile,
I'd give up, and not try
A lovely poinsettia
A friend gave to me
Two Christmases ago
In place of a tree
I researched to learn
Everything I could know
About a poinsettia
And what makes them grow
I lavished my plant
With the utmost of care
It fluorished and thrived
And well did it fare
And, to my amazement,
It's here with me still!
A healthy green friend
Even I couldn't kill!
While it no longer produces the red flowers, it is a full, beautiful green plant!
Ah, Wonderful Poem! ! ! ! ! Absolutely Beautiful! ! ! ! ! Love Plants, Nature, Earth! ! ! ! ! Plants, Trees, Nature, Mother Earth, Etc! ! ! ! ! If We Take Care Of Them, They Love Us In Return And Bring Us Many Smiles! ! ! ! ! Excellently Done! ! ! ! ! To Be Honest I Don't Really Know If I've A Green Thumb. Plants Around Me Were Always Cared By Another... Though I'd Like To Think I'd Do Alright, Always Love Talking To Nature! ! ! ! ! Miss The Trees/Etc... Planted In My Parents Yard! ! ! ! ! Know Fully Grown...Though There Is So Much Beauty All Around Every Where! ! ! ! ! Thank You So Much For Sharing This! ! ! ! ! ! Beautiful Heart! ! ! ! ! So Very Many Many 10S! ! ! ! ! +++++

Doing research to learn everything in life and respecting Christmas tree as well as other trees in Earth is nice and interesting. This poem flows very smoothly. A tree is a healthy green friend. Nice poem is shared for awareness...10

Sandra, I think my friend Sue must have bought me an unusually healthy plant! I've had this one since before Christmas of 2015! It has even survived a move (a relocation) ! Thank you, as always, for your cherished comments!

It's so good that you kept and looked after your friend the poinsettia. I keep my small garden tidy, no weeds, and just a few plants which I water every day in summer. There is also a lemon tree, which i regard as a friend.
