My Forever Valentine Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

My Forever Valentine

.
Loosing my nerves to the life of Love
I met you my dazzling glittering dove
I immediately knew my heart had to speak
My desires completely at their peak
I got hold of a borrowed soprano guitar
And bought Celine Dion's voice in vain
To see if walls could really talk.
.
Like fried water lilies,
Your acoustic smile held my hand
But i didn't write a thing.
Not even a singing poem.
My hand held a needle
To knot our small intestines,
For that, For that,
We could share digestion.
.
You gave me the chair,
I sat on the floor
What was I seeing?
Not many would entertain stars in their midst,
Thé angle cousin to Gabriel
I laid my body on the wretched earth,
For your purity deserved nothing
But my soul to tread on.
.
Anxious to die,
I gave you a hand shake.
I knew I would shake,
But i had nothing to fake.
For the love I had to make,
Entailed getting a rake,
To till the likely to be overstayed Eden.
.
Was it curiosity?
Am Museveni and you?
As i looked on to inhale the scent of her name,
Like a limousine front door,
Her mouth opened,
'Am Judith'
I then bowed for unusual beauty
'Ninakupenda sana..J'aime ca...'
I uttered my morphemes with all the strength I could.
.
She moved closer to me,
Momentarily puzzled
She touched my chin and begun to speak,
'Every day is Valentine's day
But your Valentine comes once, just once
How sure are you am the right person?
Am tired of lustful eyes and egos
That makes men go mad without it,
Their bulging trousers replacing their hearts,
To shower women of the love that got drown in Titanic.
Their love only dawns in darkness
And pretense takes stage during day
But this Valentine, this year,
Museveni, am out to break hearts without brakes
So will you be one of my lucky meat?
