Great poem of reminiscence, Just can't remember that first kiss.
Wow! That was awesome! Took me back to my first kiss! Sweet memories.
Dr. Lackman, that was awesome. It took me back in my life when time stood still. Thank you for posting that.
Dear Richard, your poem definitely touches a chord in many people's heart - including mine! ! . You have a definite natural talent. Wish you all the best for the contest. I shall be very happy if you win at least one of the prizes! But you cannot predict anything in an Online Contest like this - which can be easily manipulated by cyber savvy poets! ! I always say there are no words to explain my first kiss and I am still with my first and only love. And in your words, I went back to that moment, my very first kiss and though we all have different experiences, you worded this in a way that we can all relate too. And at the same time, this is a look into a special moment in your life. I think my favorite lines were Clearer than the clearest night that I have ever known and When finally it ended I knew this had been a kiss. Exactly how I felt.
first love, first crush, first kiss, first period, first child...our lives give us so many firsts to keep etched in our memories for ever...
Dr. Lackman said it so well, I will not tread on his sweet memory, not yet dead. Instead, I will offer it up to others as kiss well done, not one made just for fun. Robert Burns, Portland, Or.
Definitely I agree with Valerie, this is beautiful and well penned! Your memory is brilliant and I think you still feel the joy of this unforgettable kiss! 10+++ Thank you for sharing and keep it up! God Bless You! Love and Peace for always! Romeo from New York City!
Absolutely beautiful Dick, I could never top this. Very well done.
I held her in my arms as one would hold a fragile vase Then opening my eyes I felt my body all ablaze When finally it ended I knew this had been a kiss That would leave me bound forever in the depths of love's abyss Beautiful Danielle..... lovely poem of expression of love and desire and passion. thank you dear poet.. tony
