This is penetrating Nicky. You have gloriously expressed your loss and love for your son. I can only imagine your pain. I have not lost a child to death, but I have lost one to life. Please read my poem Missing M. I lost my child to divorce and his father's opinions despite being old enough to have his own. I haven't seen his face or heard his voice for two and a half years. I know it's not the same as death taking him, but my heartache is so deep. I often wonder if he tells himself that I am dead. Thank you for sharing your poem and your pain of loss.
