My Fifteenth Birthday Poem by Lesa MRK

My Fifteenth Birthday

Rating: 5.0

My fifteenth birthday-
The memories have returned,
Of you and I together,
All alone in my room.

You gave me my present-
A smile upon your lips.
Just what I always wanted;
My eyes glistened with tears unshed.

But the real present came,
When the music began to play.
I got just what I had always wanted,
In you that long ago day.

I looked at the card you gave me,
Incredulous at your words-
'Until later....'

Until later indeed.
