My Favorite Mistake Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

My Favorite Mistake

Rating: 5.0

You left my arms suddenly
I didn't admit it could've been me
That made you leave
The last word you said is that you going to Venice
You wanted to be a poet like Bryon
To have many loves in a beautiful place
But these days, that's dangerous
You told me you're sorry that you fell in love with me
No, it was my mistake that I did
But I didn't have to apologise

A beautiful poem depicting the many Intricacies of love. I concur with your closure lines. You didn't have to apologize. Heartfelt and well expressed.

Excellent poem LeeAnn. Love can be so painful and can be so intricate, and you have expressed it beautifully.

Such a good poem about a romantic breakup. LeeAnn, you've so well expressed the immaturity of one partner and the maturity of personal growth in the other. Great poem! !
